As suggested above, use a new OEM pinch bolt. Torque to spec. Use wax or tap oil on the Tap.. Lots of YT videos on drilling and tapping threads. (in this case just tapping). McMaster-Carr has a good selection of taps. Buying used parts can be tricky. New Subaru OEM spindles have now gone down in price. OEM new is always best, IMHO.
